White Water Lily:

UK Status: Resident.

Dimensions: Flowers are up to 30cm diameter, and 25cm high.

Flowering Period: June to August.

Habitat: This beautiful summer flowering pant grows in slow  moving, or still water that is about 30cm to 150cm in depth. They can be seen in large ditches, canals, ponds and lakes. It's large leathery leaves float on the surface of the water, and can be up to 30cm in diameter.

Comment: Fairly common throughout the British Isles, with the exceptions of north Scotland, and south west England where it is absent.
