Common Snowdrop:

UK Status: The Galanthus nivalis genus is an introduced cultivar in Britain that centuries ago became naturalised in the wild. It originates from parts of continental Europe, where it is a native plant.

Flowering Period: From January to March, though on year I observed them in flower in late December.

Appx Height: 7cm to 17cm.

Habitat: This is a plant of wooded areas, parks, gardens and grasslands.

Comment: This plant in the right habitat can form huge carpets, virtually coving many square metres.
